Add a link in a word or image

- Select the word or image by clicking on it (click and drag to highlight words) and click the ‘Insert/edit link’ button in the toolbar – last row, 1st icon (it is greyed out in the example below). It looks like a few links of a chain.

- Add the link (web address of the page) in the 1st (Link URL) text box, OR

- if the link is to a page within your site, then choose the page from the drop down boxes at the bottom of the pop up window – Joomla! Content links. For each drop down you select, a more specific drop down box will appear until you have chosen the page you need.

- To link to your pages in your site, select, ARTICLES from the 'select link type' and then CONTENT in the next drop down box and lastly CONTENT again from the next drop down box.  The last drop down box which appears will list all your pages in the site for which to link to.

- Choose to have the link open in the current window or a new window from the Target drop down box below

- Click the “insert” button to save this link.

Once you have finished adding content to the page click the ‘Save’ button, in the top right hand corner of the window. You will be returned to the ‘Content Items Manager’ page, showing the new page you created. To edit this again, click on the name of the page.

Once you have created (at least) one page, you’ll want to have a menu link to allow your audience to access this page.
